I won this book, but it would easily been worth a purchase. Lynette earned a true fan in me with this book. Not only is it a lovely romance novel, but there are some good messages to be taken from this book. It will if at your heart STRINGS, make you laugh, cry and even get mad a few times. If you're looking for a book full of steamy sex, this is not it, but if your looking for a book full of deep soulful love, you've found it.

Every Rose I don't even know where to start. First let me say that I won this book in a giveaway and the author asked me to leave a review for her. So, I loved the romance between Lorraina and Michael. I loved reading about their past, how they met and what they all went through to finally be together. I was smiling and laughing along with them throughout the story, until BAM, at 78% of the book, the bottom dropped out. I literally cried for the rest of the story. I am even tearing up while writing this review. I finished it 2 days ago and it took me this long to be able to write it. This book brought out so much emotion in me. That is one thing that makes a good book. So, why did I only give it 4 stars you ask? I do not like what happened to Michael. I do not like books that do not have HEA's. Do I recommend you read it? Yes, if this does not bother you. Like I said, it was a good book, very deep and emotional. The things they did to keep a connection with each other was beautiful. I would not mind reading another book by this author, only if it has an HEA. I do like that at the end, Lorraina was finally being able to put her life back together. I think I would have liked a little more and maybe an epilogue. I will watch for more Lynetta Halat.

I hesitated to start reading Every Rose because I had read reviews stating that it was bittersweet. I have to be in the proper mood for that, and I'm glad I waited for the proper mood. Where to start? Every Rose is a tale of Lorraina and Michael - how they lived as friends, how she left for college without looking back, and how life brought them back together. Their love is intense and powerful, almost too much so.

The writing in this book is very good. The characters are well-developed. You feel for them and feel as if you are them. So yes, I cried, because it is bittersweet.

I look forward to reading any and all other books by the author. She's that good.

I was given a copy of this book and asked to provide an honest review.

Have you ever read a book that left you so incredibly emotionally raw that it was all you could think about for DAYS after you finished reading it???? That is exactly how Every Rose left me feeling. I only hope that my review gives this book the justice it deserves and can relay the awesomeness that is Lynetta Halat to you! I am still reeling from the emotional roller coaster ride that I was on during this book and I don't know if I want to yell at or hug this author!! Lynetta Halat is an evil genius and her story SUCKED me in from page 1!!

Every Rose follows the life of Lorraina and Micheal, neither of whom have had the easiest or most honorable upbringing. Michael was the town's outcast because he was a Native American and Lorraina was an outcast because of her father. Micheal decides at an early age that Lorraina is his future wife and pursues her with no holds barred. Lorraina, however, wants to only be friends and tries to persuade him (and herself) that there isn't anything between them but friendship. She decides that if he can't be friends, then they can't be anything and they part ways.

Fast forward to the ripe age of 22. Lorraina is now about to graduate college and has applied to law school. She goes home to visit her family over Christmas Break and runs across a piece of artwork that looks very familiar. It just so happens that the artist is Micheal and Lorriana is hellbent on reconnecting with him to see how he is doing. She finds out that he is playing a show at a local coffee house and plans the reunion. From the first note out of his mouth she is bombarded with memories and Lorraina now has to face the facts that she may have made the biggest mistake of her life by telling him to get lost all of those years ago. Will Micheal still have feelings for her and believe she is his one true love, or has he moved on and dropped that thought like a hot cake?

The story of how their reunion goes and what happens next must be read. There is no way I am going to spoil that, nor is there any way that I can write their story and hook you in as well as reading this book for yourself! I give Every Rose a solid 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale!! If my scale went to 10.... this book would get a 20!!! I will warn you, you may want to grab a box of tissues and make sure you have a full day ahead because once you start reading Every Rose... you WILL NOT stop!! I devoured this book in one sitting... forget kids needing to be fed, forget feeding myself! I HAD to know what happens with Lorraina and Micheal and there was NO WAY I could bookmark and come back later! I laughed, cried, laughed some more, and ugly cried... I mean U-G-L-Y cried!!! Face puffy and red, eyes swollen, tissues gone.. ugly cried. This story is so incredibly touching that it has sent me into a book hangover!! Kudos Lynetta Halat... you definitely have a permanent fan at R is my TO!!!

Wow what can I say about Every Rose? It certainly packs a punch and will stay with you long after you have read it!

I had heard some buzz about this book but I hadn't read any reviews as I like to do that after I have read the book myself, so I couldn't wait to get stuck in.

We meet Lorraina who is merely going through the motions of every day life. After a few events from her past she has decided to focus on her studies and finding love is far from her mind. That is until she goes home and reconnects with her childhood best friend, Mike Bang.

I loved Mike! I loved his interests and passion about art and music. Mike went off the rails in his younger years so he was repenting for them now and I really liked the person he had become. I enjoyed that we got to read about Lorraina and Mike's first encounters through her journal entries. Mike Bang told Lorraina at age 15 that he was her future husband. He was so freaking cute! Lorraina had always spurred Mike's advances because she didn't want to ruin their friendship but all that changes when they meet seven years later and Lorraina can't deny the feelings she always had for this boy.

Mike and Lorraina's relationship moved at a fast pace once they met again but I suppose due to their history it was understandable. There were some really great scenes between them and for romance addicts you will feel all warm and mushy! I did feel really bad for them both as they felt they had to hide their relationship from their family and friends. This made me sad as I really wanted to see them enjoy their relationship out in the open and perhaps that is why my favourite scene of them is the double date they went on with one of Mike's closest friends as no one else knew.

I loved the way music and art was weaved throughout the story and after listening to the playlist, some of the lyrics are perfection when it comes to Lorraina and Mike's journey. This book (and some of these songs) had me crying ugly tears! I think I cried harder because I wasn't expecting some of the events. I was left speechless that is for sure. I did feel the ending was slightly rushed with a few time jumps and I was wishing for it to slow down merely because 1. I needed to absorb the information and 2. I wanted more detail.

I want to drop a great big spoiler in this review but I won't because that's not what I do but the only reason is because I need to talk about it! My mind is still reeling from some of the events so if you have read this get in touch we need to chat ;)

I enjoyed the author's writing style, the book flowed well and I connected with Lorraina's 'voice'. At times I did feel the dialogue between Lorraina and Mike was a little clear cut, we were told lots of details in some parts rather than shown. And problems were resolved rather quickly. Lorraina and Mike were apart for a lot of years and it did have me wondering what Mike's life had been like through his eyes. We got to read a journal excerpt from his POV and it definitely left me wanting more. :)

Every Rose was a good book with a great message, I love books that take me by surprise and this one definitely did. I will no doubt continue to think about Lorraina and Mike for months to come. If you love New Adult, love romance and second chances and above all love an emotional story then I urge you to read this one.

If you love romance then you will love this coming of age love story! It is a wonderful love story that is told by the heroine journaling her memories of her first love and smoothly bounces back to present day when she is reunited with him. Once I started reading it I didn't want to put it down. I finished it in one day, but that was time well spent because I completely enjoyed this book!

Lynetta Halat ‘s book, Every Rose, was extraordinary. She managed to draw me in with such passionate characters. I felt as if I were Lorraina. I experienced an assortment of emotions, some of which really hit close to home, while reading the book. I loved that the characters were convincingly ordinary yet interesting. My favorite part was when Lorraina spoke of her dreams. I agree that even everyday people who have made bad decisions or who are products of their situation have something meaningful to share with the world.

Transfixed, I resorted to reading the majority of this powerful tale of love and loss in my iPhone. I could hardly put it down as I was overwhelmed with the memory of my first love. A must read for all who enjoy the romance genre. All set to read again over spring break. So full of detail and emotion I am looking forward to a whole new experience with Michael and Lorraina.

I had been in a reading slump and this book brought me out of it. I loved it!! Lynetta Halat respected the reader by providing a rich history of the background between Michael and Lorraina and didn't rush through it like so many authors did. When you read the story you feel like you know the characters and can feel what they are going through. A very emotional but wonderful read for me.

4 out of 5 stars but ONLY because it made me cry! Great story, you root for the characters the whole time and want them to have a happy ending throughout the book. I would recommend this to someone who loves Nicholas Sparks, and who doesn't read for steamy scenes. This book is more for the emotion than the hotness factor. I read more erotica and romance, but this story was still very good! Great author, looking forward to see if she'll write anything in the genres I love!
