Have you ever read a book that left you so incredibly emotionally raw that it was all you could think about for DAYS after you finished reading it???? That is exactly how Every Rose left me feeling. I only hope that my review gives this book the justice it deserves and can relay the awesomeness that is Lynetta Halat to you! I am still reeling from the emotional roller coaster ride that I was on during this book and I don't know if I want to yell at or hug this author!! Lynetta Halat is an evil genius and her story SUCKED me in from page 1!!
Every Rose follows the life of Lorraina and Micheal, neither of whom have had the easiest or most honorable upbringing. Michael was the town's outcast because he was a Native American and Lorraina was an outcast because of her father. Micheal decides at an early age that Lorraina is his future wife and pursues her with no holds barred. Lorraina, however, wants to only be friends and tries to persuade him (and herself) that there isn't anything between them but friendship. She decides that if he can't be friends, then they can't be anything and they part ways.
Fast forward to the ripe age of 22. Lorraina is now about to graduate college and has applied to law school. She goes home to visit her family over Christmas Break and runs across a piece of artwork that looks very familiar. It just so happens that the artist is Micheal and Lorriana is hellbent on reconnecting with him to see how he is doing. She finds out that he is playing a show at a local coffee house and plans the reunion. From the first note out of his mouth she is bombarded with memories and Lorraina now has to face the facts that she may have made the biggest mistake of her life by telling him to get lost all of those years ago. Will Micheal still have feelings for her and believe she is his one true love, or has he moved on and dropped that thought like a hot cake?
The story of how their reunion goes and what happens next must be read. There is no way I am going to spoil that, nor is there any way that I can write their story and hook you in as well as reading this book for yourself! I give Every Rose a solid 5 stars on the knock my socks off scale!! If my scale went to 10.... this book would get a 20!!! I will warn you, you may want to grab a box of tissues and make sure you have a full day ahead because once you start reading Every Rose... you WILL NOT stop!! I devoured this book in one sitting... forget kids needing to be fed, forget feeding myself! I HAD to know what happens with Lorraina and Micheal and there was NO WAY I could bookmark and come back later! I laughed, cried, laughed some more, and ugly cried... I mean U-G-L-Y cried!!! Face puffy and red, eyes swollen, tissues gone.. ugly cried. This story is so incredibly touching that it has sent me into a book hangover!! Kudos Lynetta Halat... you definitely have a permanent fan at R is my TO!!!

If you love romance then you will love this coming of age love story! It is a wonderful love story that is told by the heroine journaling her memories of her first love and smoothly bounces back to present day when she is reunited with him. Once I started reading it I didn't want to put it down. I finished it in one day, but that was time well spent because I completely enjoyed this book!

Lynetta Halat ‘s book, Every Rose, was extraordinary. She managed to draw me in with such passionate characters. I felt as if I were Lorraina. I experienced an assortment of emotions, some of which really hit close to home, while reading the book. I loved that the characters were convincingly ordinary yet interesting. My favorite part was when Lorraina spoke of her dreams. I agree that even everyday people who have made bad decisions or who are products of their situation have something meaningful to share with the world.

Transfixed, I resorted to reading the majority of this powerful tale of love and loss in my iPhone. I could hardly put it down as I was overwhelmed with the memory of my first love. A must read for all who enjoy the romance genre. All set to read again over spring break. So full of detail and emotion I am looking forward to a whole new experience with Michael and Lorraina.

I had been in a reading slump and this book brought me out of it. I loved it!! Lynetta Halat respected the reader by providing a rich history of the background between Michael and Lorraina and didn't rush through it like so many authors did. When you read the story you feel like you know the characters and can feel what they are going through. A very emotional but wonderful read for me.

I just finished reading Every Rose. Wow! Great book. Very well written. I felt as if I was right there with the characters. I felt their emotions. I believe this is on the same level or better than a Nicolas Sparks book. I can't wait to read her next book.

4 out of 5 stars but ONLY because it made me cry! Great story, you root for the characters the whole time and want them to have a happy ending throughout the book. I would recommend this to someone who loves Nicholas Sparks, and who doesn't read for steamy scenes. This book is more for the emotion than the hotness factor. I read more erotica and romance, but this story was still very good! Great author, looking forward to see if she'll write anything in the genres I love!

I can't wait till her next book comes out; I will be the first to download it! This author truly poured her heart and soul into this book. (:

This book grabbed me from the beginning. I found myself lost in the story of Michael and Lorraina. Their epic imperfect love gives hope in a crazy world. Page by page I found myself unable to stop reading and saddened when their story had to end. WELL DONE!!! I eagerly await this author's next release.
