About Dawn Brotherton

Many of the interactions in the book are taken from true life stories that I lived as a missile launch officer. The murders were thankfully not true although the lessons gained as "Jackie" moved through the Air Force were sincere.

I spent 12 years on active duty with the Air Force and met my husband at Osan Air Base in Korea. When I was pregnant with our second child, I transitioned to the Air Force Reserve and have completed over 22 years of service. I am currently a colonel working for NORAD-USNORTHCOM and have many more interesting stories to share about Air Force life. I enjoy fiction writing although incorporating the true stories from a female officer's point of view allows me a unique prospective not often written about.
