Just finished this. Interesting in that it deals with familial abuse -- father was a drinker/alcoholic/gambler who beat his wife, then disappeared. When he reappeared he abused his older daughter, then used her as payment in a card game. It was good to see how she managed to survive and thrive -- very creatively!
