Nathan Nix studied journalism at the University of Houston. After graduating, he discovered he enjoyed making stories up from scratch more than working a reporter’s beat. Given that most respectable publications tend to avoid fabrication, Nathan turned to fiction as a way to dodge a life of crime. He has also dabbled in filmmaking, photography, and music. But really, who hasn’t? His work has been featured on Relevant Magazine’s website and in Free Press Houston, among other publications.

"The Drifters" is a well written story about how sometimes what seems like the worst thing that could possibly happen turns out to be the best thing that could have happened. There are many things in our lives that are out of our control. Those that are willing to accept what fate has instore for us will survive, and thrive. Those that want everything handed to them, and are unwilling to see what is clearly point out to them, will suffer, and wither away.
I recommend this book to everyone; those that think someone else will always take care of them, those that think they know how their lives will be, and those that think life has given them a kick in the teeth and that there's nothing they can do about it.
