We have been the main beneficiaries of the public schools mis-education. But we are ready to move out of it. We only need the spark. Black Americans have begun to recognize their conservative roots and heritage and will begin to act upon it. All we need is for someone to stand up and say “Its OK To Leave The Plantation.”
This book examines some other celebrations, superstitions and made-up traditions being substituted for the strong culture and honor we have had as a people. The dangers of recognizing false traditions and holidays are the loss of the lessons of our real history. Culture and traditions of a people are made of their history, not fantasy. The .. Now that the civil rights movement is over and we can compete in the political arena, why don’t we? Real political power comes from organizing along lines of principle, not race or culture. All issues effect all people, therefore, there are no racial, sexual, age, or cultural issues.
We can see the dismantling of the tribalistic control over the black community and explore the new avenues open to us....freedom. This will take independent thought and it is our final lesson. For hundreds of years others have thought for us, the master, overseer, preacher, civil rights leader and one political party. But freedom is an individual journey, not a group journey. Let us explore the individual journey to independence.
