About Miriam Smith

To write or not to write. It isn't so much a question as it is a need. With so many characters vying for a chance for their story to be told, it's little wonder this California native took the plunge and penned a short romance.

Miriam finds pleasure in bringing her characters to life, giving them a chance to tell their story as only they can. She writes what interests her--contemporary and, most recently, sci-fi/fantasy--and always ensures her characters find the happily-ever-after they rightfully deserve.

Thank you Smashwords, this was the last book I needed to complete all the authors books. So now I have ever one, waiting for a new book. I like this short story, its very sad but as always a happy ending.

I enjoyed the story, but I went to smashwords to get this story because I have all of her other stories. This would not be one of my favorite. I would recommend Brenin.

I felt her pain. Loving someone, wanting to spend the rest of your life together and then...nothing. The love of her life disappears without a word. No one will answer her questions, give her an honest answer. She feels hopeless, like nothing will ever be the same. She feels betrayed by her family, but the end justified the means. Love lives.
