A Poet's Journey: Sunlight And Shadows

Rated 5.00/5 based on 1 reviews
Marta Moran Bishop continues her journey in Sunlight and Shadows. This book of poetry, unlike A Poet’s Journey: Emotions, is a more thought provoking book. In its pages, her verses deal with everything from God, to life after death, war, and the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Still she is able to bring to life the beauty and grandeur of her surroundings and make us laugh, cry, think, and feel. More

About Marta Moran Bishop

Marta Moran Bishop is the third generation of female authors. She began writing at the age of six, when she wrote what she describes as the worst play ever written.

Ms. Bishop has since become a writer to be noticed and both her poetry and novels are nothing short of soulful.

Review by: Helle Gade on Jan. 01, 2014 :
This is an intense book of poetry. The author opens op and shows you a glimpse of her past self, working towards her present self. She tells of abuse and sorrow, but also of love and joy, not to forget the appreciation for the seasons. The poem "Peter" brought tears to my eyes.
