Jaded is not a genre I typically read, but it was an easy read, with crisp writing and the story flows. The last thing Yasmine thinks she's looking for is another disppointing guy to fall in love with. But, there is no denying the attraction when Zach shows up to fix her computer. He too has been hurt in love and is gun shy. In spite of their resolve to keep their distance and protect their hearts, a friendship develops, and before too long they are "friends with benefits." Can that be enough? Not if you leave it up to Zack's mother who wants to see her son with a good women and will go to some lengths to help it happen. The point of view shifts between Yasmine and Zack revealing the story from each of their perspectives. Occassionally, POV unexpectedly shifts to Zack's mother's perspective. You may at times find the plot predictable which may be what readers expect in this genre. You'll root for the likable characters.
