About Drac Von Stoller

Drac Von Stoller's imagination and fascination for the Horror genre began when he was a little boy watching his favorite actors such as Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and Bela Lugosi on his little black and white television alone in his dark room. Drac would watch these horror movies for hours and build model kits of his favorite characters like Dracula, the Wolfman, Frankenstein and even the Munster's car from his favorite television series. Then as time went on and nothing was left to the imagination in the new horror movies, Drac still loved watching the old movies he so loved as a little boy. Then as Drac became an adult he decided one day that he would write a short story in the horror genre and let some of his friends read it and see what they thought. Drac's first short story was titled "Death in the Wilderness," which would be considered flash fiction but this would be Drac's test to see if he was destined to be an author. Sure enough when people read "Death in the Wilderness" they loved it but couldn't understand why Drac didn't keep on with the story but Drac knew all along that if what they read was so good then Drac has succeeded. This gave Drac the confidence he needed to keep on writing more and more short stories. The rest is history Drac has now written 155 short stories to date that have been downloaded in 123 Countries and more on the way.

I don't know about you reader's out there, but I think it's time we have another Horror TV series. We haven't had one like Night Gallery, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, Tales from the Crypt or Creepshow since the 90's and that's what my goal is a TV series. Drac Von Stoller would really appreciate any Horror fan's support. Without every reader's download and support Drac Von Stoller would not be where he is today. I just want to thank you all for any kindness you have bestowed upon me and my vision.

Here are some reviews from some of my fans from Smashwords, Barnes and Noble, iTunes, Tumblr and Amazon.

Drac, A number of your stories feature lavish parties with ballroom dancing in castles, and even one on a cruise ship. Do you have anything special planned for this Halloween?

I wouldn't typically purchase a horror/sci-fi genre book but a friend mentioned it to me so I bought it. I have to say that the appearance of the book is pleasing. It's well designed and lightweight so there's no anxiety about getting through a thick novel. Some stories to recommend (my faves) are "Visit from the Greys" "Phantom Miner" " The Dead Sea Captain" and "Death in the Wilderness". I don't leave reviews but something about this one so check it out!

A group of friends decide to campout in some "haunted" woods. Everything is all fun and spooke stories until they start hearing spooky sounds and are never heard from again. Remember kids.... curiousity killed the cat. Funny story, worth the short read.

Review by: Walter Lazo on May 03, 2013 :
Von Stoller's writing has improved significantly since last I read him. Still, comma usage needs to be improved, and he, also, needs to get past the habit of telling instead of showing. It is possible to get three or four pages out of every paragraph in this story with the 'show don't tell' paradigm. I'm going to give this story three-stars for two reasons: Mr. Von Stoller is clearly willing to improve his writing, and he obviously loves the horror genre--a plus in my view.

As a response to Michael Carter's limp accusation that my review is bonkers...I say this. 5 stars is not a just score.

If the smashwords system was instead scored out of 10 rather than the humble 5, then Drac's story would have (like that scene from spinal-tap) gone to 11.

So suck on that Mr."Ohhhh...I'm not bonkers".

Review by: Michael Carter on April 08, 2013 :
Ok so this was sort of fun but a bit rubbish at the same time. If there was a bit more flesh to the story, and a bit more care taken in the writing, this would make a decent 1000-word story. As it is, it is Punctuation Of The Dead, and some of it makes no sense; one minute the main character is sitting, clutching her dog, shivering in fear, but in a few moments she has happily nodded off.

To be fair, Mr.Stoller, this is a little better than your other stories I have read; at least it has a kernel of an original use of a cliched idea, and, for once, there is a detailed [for Drac Von Stoller] gore description here. Now if only you could improve the pyschotic killer's description from just "an inmate".

I can sort of see how reading Von Stoller's stories may become addictive, like picking your nose is addictive.

But that 5 star review from Jonathan Strickland is bonkers.

HAHAHAHA....This was bloody funny stuff. A really weird nutjob who likes to lick hands.....Pretty sure that this was meant to be a scary story but if you read between the lines you can find some pure comedy gold.

As an extra giggle you should check out the picture as well. I've sometimes woken up under my bed looking like that after having one to many down the booser.

BLOODY BRILLIANT!!!
