I'm finding this author's short stories a pleasant change from the lengthy yet engaging longer novel formats. It reminds me of Asimov's magazine that kept my mind active when work was slow over thirty years ago. Sam's got a knack of blending the common with the paranormal to where one's not sure where the dividing line is.
