About W. P. Smith

Born and raised in East Tennessee. Love most everything outdoors including fishing, gardening and sports. I enjoy reading various genres of books but fashion to mystery, crime, anything which holds me past the first few pages!

Living life is easy when you live it with the knowledge nothing is given to you, you must work to achieve you goals.

Review by: Gary Henry on July 29, 2013 :
Farm girl Sunshine Westland grows up, falls in love, and experiences and shares with readers the trials and triumphs of life, love and loss in the Tennessee mountains. It's clear the author knows and loves this area of the country. Her details of life there, including descriptions of community celebrations, create a wonderful setting.

Though burdened with some poor grammar, Summer Winds is a sweet, kindly love story. Wanda weaves her simple, though not necessarily easy themes of love of family, love of place, and love between a good man and a good woman into a satisfying tale of charm and grace.

This is a beautifully written story about a young southern girl and her adventures in the old fashioned setting of East Tennessee and the great smoky mountains. Smith's writing style is quite descriptive and she paints wonderful word pictures for the reader. It is written in a relaxing style and has a purity in the way family bonds are emphasized. I will buy future works by this author!
