About Paw Prints

My husband and I have lived with a wolf that was born in captivity as her ancestors were for 15 plus years. We have also had bobcats and foxes that we loved very much even a golden jungle cat. So wild animals were no strangers to us, just a matter of doing a lot of research and learning how to get along with these wild animals that have passed our way through out the years. Each companion have their own personality just as humans do. All in all we lived a very different life style according to what each of the companions needs were. Mde Myinga was not only the greatest companion and love of our lives. We learned much from her as she learned from us that we remained alpha with lots of thinking and ways around any trouble that could have occurred. It also took a lot of love and thinking power just to stay one jump ahead of Myinga.

This book is a fantastic easy read....do not read it if you don't want to fall in love with Myinga's sweet personality or should I say sweet " wolfality". I cried many times...the hardest was when she was unwillingly bred, my heart went out to Mom as she watched unable to help her baby while she was raped! I hate abortions of any kind but I would have done the same thing to save my girl! I hated finishing this book, wish it could have gone on & on? Thanks for sharing your love & Myinga's life with us!

Mde Myinga's Pack tells a story of love, respect, understanding, and challenge. It tells Myinga's story from a wolf pup to the end of her days on this earth. The author, and her husband, raise Myinga in a domestic environment while, constantly, recognizing the natural needs and behavior of a wild blooded animal. The book depicts the challenge of forming the hierarchy of the pack that included humans and other domestic animals. This book is a MUST READ for all animal lovers and those who might consider raising a pet that mainstream society does not consider a domestic animal. You will love Myinga and not be able to put this put down until you finish the story. I thank the author for taking the time to write this story. It is unconditional love without a doubt.

As a member of Knitting Paradise along with the author, we have been lucky to hear stories about Myinga. It's so great to finally have a chance to know her entire story. The author has done a wonderful job letting the reader what it's like to live with a wild animal and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about adding a wild animal to their household. It's a great book and well worth the $5 cost. I thoroughly enjoyed every page. denisejh

In this book the author tells her story of raising a wolf pup to adulthood. With much humor she tells of the great love and devotion they had for Myinga and also of the very real challenges of wolf behavior that they dealt with for most of the 15 years they had her. It is an eye opener between Myinga's loving wet kisses to her attempts at upping her statice as alpha of the pack. She tells this story in a very uplifting and funny way. I couldn't put it down.

Mde Myinga's Pack is the story of the author's 15 years of experiences with a pet, or companion, wolf. By turns hilarious, poignant, and hair-raising, this book never fails to entertain. A fascinating read.
