Review by: Tim Bennett on March 07, 2011 :
Wonderful mystery novel for anyone, especially teens and junior high. With all the fixation on vampire movies, it's nice to read someone as grounded and gifted as this writer.

This work has the potential of becoming a nice series. Keep up the good work Margaux.

Review by: Michael Schwaba on Jan. 30, 2011 :
Lana Cloud is a precocious, attractive, and deductive teenager who can't seem to keep her mind off of crime - crime-solving, that is. Assisted by her comical sidekick Clancy Adams, the pair sets out to discover who killed beautiful Bella, who, as the title suggests, is not only beautiful, but, obviously, quite dead. I won't divulge any more of the plot than this, for that is part of the fun ride throughout.

The relationship between the two teen sleuths is very tongue-in-cheek, filled with a little angst (mostly on Clancy's part) and plenty of pithy comments about young relationships, "adult" content from a teen's point of view, and even some food recipes that did make my mouth water while I was reading. Indeed, the relationship of Lana and Clancy seems to be at the heart of the book as much as the mystery of Beautiful Dead Bella and its ultimate solution.

If you've ever read and enjoyed Nancy Drew (and her many successors), in book or film, you will enjoy Margaux Sky's "Lana Cloud", the newest teen detective to grace the pages of mystery fiction.
