ABOUT THE AUTHOR

G. G. Galt's stories are fictional adventures happening in factual locations––ones that didn't happen, but could have. Her illustrated romantic fantasies often take place on the shores of Little Traverse Bay and Lake Charlevoix in Northern Michigan. Others happen in the Northwest and the Northeast where she's been known to ride the rails coast-to-coast rather than fly.

The stories originate from Galt's love of genealogy, history, music, art, antiques, and old house restoration. She also draws from memories of growing up in Northern Michigan and spending summer vacations at the family cottage. The author's most recent publications are as follows: (A) The Love Box Series–– Love Boxes: A Love Story from Northern Michigan to Points Beyond, Love Boxes 2: The Vacation, Love Boxes 3: The Twilight Zone, and Love Boxes 4: The Bay View Cottage. (B) The Paradise Series––Paradise: A Love Story from Petoskey to Harbor Springs, Paradise 2: A Love Story from Cross Village to Harbor Springs, Paradise 3: A Love Story from Harbor Springs to Sausalito. Paradise 4: A Love Story from Cross Village to Mackinac Island.
Forthcoming Spring 2014: Paradise 5: A Love Story from Mackinac Island to Points Beyond. and, Paradise 6: Paradise 6: A Love Story from the Saint Lawrence Seaway to Mackinac Island.

Each of the ten books in the two series is complete, but the author prefers readers take them one at a time for the sake of continuity.

I absolutely love this story! Fancy is such a neat character. I enjoyed seeing how she grew up and all the wonderful experiences she had. Then to "see" her as an adult falling in love. She's my favorite character. I thought it was cool that the reader could really like each character and in a sense, get to know the characters. I feel like I know each one. It is a tender-hearted story that makes me feel happy. Of course there is tragedy, but I like how good comes out of the challenges. The photos are beautiful. It helps me picture the beautiful places that Francy "experienced." I also like how the author included bits of history throughout the story. I can't wait to read the rest of this series!

This is not only wonderful travel fiction, but an amazing book. I have never read an e-book quite like this, or seen so many beautiful photos. It's hard to believe it is free. The photos take me right along with Fancy to all the places she travels in Northern Michigan. The story was for me, as the author hoped, "a trip down memory lane." I am not finished with it yet, but I pick up my i-phone and read it every chance I get. At home, I read it on my lap top in PDF, it looks great. I wrote the author and found out Book 2 and 3 of this Trilogy will be on i-Pad shortly and has been approved for their catalogue. (I'm hoping I'll have my new i-Pad by Mother's Day and can read the others on it.) Many thanks to the author and the publisher. I plan to share the book with my homeschooling friends.
