About Willow Marie Power

I’m an author, storyteller, dancer & speaker. My work explores transformation, spirituality, coming of age & the power of imagination.

When I’m not writing, I’m teaching. I give talks & workshops that encourage women look at the beliefs they have about who they are so they can show up more fully in their lives. Experience changes us all the time- it’s easy to get lost or forget who we really are.

One of the things I like best about teaching is it’s a back & forth process- a constant work in progress that always reminds me how deeply we sometimes have to live to appreciate the subtle & how we all want to live our lives in our own voice…our real one.

.real. is a beautifully written introspection that took me on a journey from Willow-Marie Power’s reflections to my own and back again. Isn’t that what reading a good book should be - a silent dialogue with the author that inspires a dialogue with one’s self? It is for this very reason that I can say that this book will stay with me long after I have read it. The life lessons that it contains are genuine, honest and of course, very real. They have inspired me to dive deeper into my own mind. Willow-Marie Power’s prose and poetry remind us that life is absolutely beautiful, but only when we dare to actively dive into it - vulnerable, naked and free of any illusion. This requires extraordinary amounts of self-awareness, humility and love. Willow-Marie Power’s book is a reminder that the beauty of life isn’t in the destination; it’s in the journey. My hope is that .real. inspires many people to begin their journey and say “YES!” to life. Thank you for your book – it is nothing short of inspiring.
