Following business school graduation in Copenhagen, Denmark, I embarked on a Ford Motor Company intern program at the manufacturing facilities in Germany, England and Canada before returning to Ford Germany to supervise new product advertising and PR photography at 24. Head hunted by Time magazine in the early days of international advertising I sold ads in Time for 25 years as a salesman in Germany, divisional manager northern Europe, manager British Isles and Middle East, and finally European development director, a worldwide position. Leaving Time in 1988 I worked on Robert Maxwell's The European, China Daily, Sporting Life and Syndication International. Returning to Denmark I edited the newsletter Media & Markets in Europe for 5 years. My final career move was freelance investigating reporter for a San Francisco based Pension Fund until retirement. I married very young in Canada, divorced 13 years later in the Netherlands where I re-married. My second wife of 40 years is a Dutch national with a similar international background. I have two children from the first marriage, one live in Denmark, the other in Turkey. My daughter from the second marriage live in Hong Kong. My wife and I live in a golf & country club in Northern Spain.
