About Emily Paige Skeen

I'm a brand new author from a small town in Georgia, just trying to get my name out to the literary world. I graduated college with a degree in Public Relations. After graduation, I worked for a small business, handling all their PR and marketing efforts. After a change of heart, however, I went in search of a new direction. I then found Ribley Family Chiropractic, where I made a home for myself for four years. But even the best job and the best coworkers could never take the place of my dream career as a writer. In August of 2014, I decided to take the leap and leave my job to pursue that dream full-time. I'm married and have two young children, so writing gives me the flexibility to be home with them during these crucial years. In addition to novel writing, I write web content (blog posts, articles, etc.) for various businesses.
I've always wanted to be a writer because, like most other writers, I love the feeling of creating characters, story lines, and entire imaginary worlds in which people can lose themselves. It is my goal to bring a little joy and faith to a society where those two sentiments are becoming more and more rare. Thank you for taking an interest in me and giving me the chance to achieve that goal. Happy reading!

A fantastic first-time effort from a promising new author. Paige perfectly channels the drama, emotions and ideals of high school life, the good and the bad - if you've forgotten what it's like, this book will remind you. Pure nostalgia. The characters are memorable, and the little twists are numerous and unexpected enough to keep you riveted. The narrower focus of the second half is a misstep in my opinion, but it doesn't keep this brief read from leaving a lasting impression. Highly recommended.

Great short book to read. Kept my interest and I read it in a few hours. This would be a great book for youth leaders. The story reminds us adults how teenagers really think about things in their lives.

Wow! Just wow! For starters this book brought me back to my high school years where like Cora I was so overly excited about prom. This book was truly uplifting to see how strong love can be! The book was very enticing and I just did not want to put it down, because it was so exciting to find out what happened next. The author did a superb job at creating imagery where I could create a mental picture using all of my senses to imagine the setting of the story. I give 5 stars to this book for a very real sense of faith, hope, and love!
