Alexa Grace has delivered an exciting, engaging and tempting beginning to her new trilogy. From page one this author draws the reader into a story full of drama, suspense, action and of course, romance! Profile of Evil explores Sheriff Brody Chase’s story and his journey with ex-FBI agent Carly Stone. There is evil stalking Indiana County and it is targeting teenage girls in Brody’s community.
The building suspense in attempting to catch this savage threat to Brody’s community and escalating romance between Brody and Carly enthrals the reader, so much so that you simply can’t stop at just one more chapter. Alexa Grace’s realistic tale of internet terror and the possibilities of cyberspace is both enlightened and terrifying, very much a warning to all parents with teenagers. The twists and turns of plot, the emotional roller coaster as we as readers follow Brody and Carly’s romantic journey in the midst of the urgency to find a killer before ‘he’ strikes again shows how this author is able to draw us further into her emotionally charged tale.
The ending of this novel leaves one feeling happily drained from the ride…and simply turning to our computers to search for the next in the series, all the while groaning at the wait time. Alexa Grace maintains a nail biting balance between the romance and the suspense. I would highly recommend following this author on the journeys she will unravel with us as we read!
