About Chantel Rhondeau

Chantel once thought a great mystery or fantasy book with strong romantic themes was the highest level of reading bliss. After reading her first romantic suspense novel, she never looked back. Before long, the need to create her own stories took over. She spends her daytime in the clinical profession of medical transcriptionist, but her passion is in the blissful hours she spends with her characters in the evenings.

Chantel lives in the western United States. When she isn’t writing, she loves playing cards with her family, going bowling, and snuggling with her lazy kitties.

At first when I saw the cover of this book I thought that the story was going to be really cheesy. Luckily for me, I found it to be an excellent read. It is a story about a woman named Madeline who has just moved to a new town, a womanizer policeman named Donovan, and how murder and mayhem had brought them together while tearing them apart. I have to say I found this book a bit ironic because I am a teacher like the main character and my husband is a police officer. It was easy to relate to!

I really liked the suspense in the book. It had some unique twists and turns that kept me guessing. I also liked the fact that the love scenes were intense but not crude. I found Donovan to be likeable, though I wanted Madeline to be stronger and have more confidence. The other characters were easy to love or hate, appropriately according to their roles.

As an avid reader, I would definitely recommend Crime & Passion and I am excited to try another book by Chantel Rhondeau.

Where do I even begin. I LOVED this book. It was amazing. It all begins when police officer Donovan Andrews meets Madeline Scott when she discovers a dead body as she was walking along the beach as a dog walker. Donovan and Madeline instantly "click" and that's where it all begins. The twists and turns of what unravels from there.

Donovan is not known as the nicest of guys or the one to settle down but Madeline eventually gives him a chance...as she feels there is more...as well as he does. From the love scenes to the crime scenes this book keeps you asking for more. You can't put it down once you begin. The thrills and unknowns, to the love they eventually have for one another, in the midst of all the craziness they have to deal with. Someone in the town is a murderer and no one knows who it is. The killer is on the loose and no one can trust anyone. Everyone tries to pin it on Donovan...but some of his true friends believe he's being set up....What is the truth? You have to read the book to figure that out for yourself...and again once you pick this book up I guarantee you won't want to put it back down, in fact it drove my husband crazy how attached I became to the characters and how I couldn't put the book down when I began. It took 3 days to read this book and it was WELL worth the read. YOU ARE GUARANTEED TO LOVE IT!

It was a lovely romantic book with a bit of Christian reference to it. Its a book that definitely keeps you on edge with its twists and turns and you won't want to put it down once you pick it up.

Jennifer Cruz has a past...a secret....some secrets maybe. They are revealed throughout the book and more and more strange things happen to her and the people around her. It all ends up tying together and are all related in some ways.

I don't want to give the book away...but I read this book in 2 nights. I was caught up in the crazy parts of the book...and then the romantic parts that keep you reading for more!

This book has a great easy to follow along plot, and is well written...even if you aren't technically savvy you can figure out what the book is talking about with thorough explanations throughout.

Once you pick up this book, I GUARANTEE you won't put it down!!! I will definitely be reading more books by Rachelle Ayala!!
