This book focuses solely on Sophie. As a freshman, she was the girlfriend of Frankie, but he moved away and she hadn't heard from him during the year he was gone. She starts school and meets Ethan. Then, Frankie moves back. All of this leads to an amazing read from Tara West with twists and turns in Sophie's Secret Crush. And, as in Visions of the Witch, we are left with a major cliffhanger!!!! Another five stars for Tara West!

What do you do when you're a teenager, learning to control your powers, having a crush over one guy and then your first love turns up? Get VERY confused :D

Tara West has managed to write the feelings of the above teenager with perfect clarity. You will empathise, sympathise, laugh out loud and cringe along with Sophie. As for the guys, I was torn between Ethan and Frankie when I started this book as I had liked Frankie in book 1 and couldn't believe that he'd moved away. But along comes Ethan and manages to worm his way into my heart. The conflict between these two is brilliant and so is the way that it affects Sophie and how she deals with it.

I love the way this series has developed and cannot recommend it highly enough. Only thing I will say is that BEWARE OF THE CLIFF HANGER ENDINGS!!! They get me every time and I can't wait to read the next one. Truly a sign of a well written, well paced book.

The fifth book in the series, Tara really brings Sophie into focus. She has a lot to deal with as far as teenage girl issues and "witchy" issues go....Can't wait for the next book!!!!

Sophie is a high school student with normal high school problems, well, except for her being a witch. She is now faced with choosing between two boys. After deciding on one of the boys, she is faced with two new problems. Each of which brings it's own worries to her life. But with the help of her cat and some friends read the book to find out if she can fix these problems before they get worse. This is a great book.
