About Melissa Crowe

I am from the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. In 2009 I started writing and now have a multitude of stories in various stages of completion. My love for paranormal started from a young age and I like to find interesting new creatures to create stories about. I have decided I no longer want to end up in the publishing companies slush pile and have decided to self publish.

R2R (LoP) : New Beginnings (Ivory #2)

I received a free copy of this book, through LoP, in exchange for a review.

Vaughan has a very difficult decision to make, but one that he has thought long and hard about. He wants to be changed back, back to being human. He was changed, against his will 66 years prior to become one of the walking dead, a vampire. But now, he has the love of his life and he wants to be the human she deserves. His plan is to find The Creator and ask to be changed back; to give up his immortality. But, with a request as big as this one, the price is not cheap and Vaughan's story quickly takes a different turn than expected.

“What if you don't come back?” she looked up and her cheeks were streaked with tears, her eyes red rimmed and her lips quivering. I pulled her to me and let her lose control. Bloody tears were starting to well in my eyes and I blinked them away. “I will come back, I promise.” We both knew this was an empty promise and it hurt me to say it. There was no guarantee of my return, no guarantee of my request being granted. I was delving into the unknown and I was asking Nicola to wait for me, something I knew was incredibly selfish.'

Great twist of events! Very easy to commiserate with Vaughan's character and know why he's making the decisions he does. It was a very simple story, but it got straight to the point, not too much added details needed. Interesting to see what will happen now.

First of all, Let me give an apology to the Author Melissa Crowe and to Read 2 Review one of my groups on Goodreads who gave me the opportunity to read such a epic, different, wonderful book. This was suppose to be posted last month. Again I am sorry.

Now with that said: Once opening the pages of this book I was thrown into the pages within the wonderful covers of this totally different way of looking at not only Egyptian but Vampires.

Author Melissa Crowe's writing style is so interesting that you will find yourself looking into the possibility's of what is written here could have happen. I found myself rooting along with feeling sorry then next moment, to screaming at the the main characters. Wow is just one word that I would say at author Melissa Crowe's style of writing. I diffidently want more.

As to the characters: Well as above, I was so all over the world that my emotions were diffidently taxed to say the least. Getting to know these characters and all the things that they are placed in I found myself right there. And when I say this I mean that I was within the pages of their life. It takes quite a bit to get me to this place.

The plot was very creative:
The characters were a live to me:
The ending completely left me wanting more.

Okay, with all that, yea I know it is not a lot but with that being said: I am giving this book and this author a Breath of Life rating of:

Five Clock Rating:

Disclosure: I did received the above book in exchange for my honest opinion and review. Opinions are my own and yours may differ.

I loved loved loved New Beginnings! Thank you Melissa Crowe for a chance to read and review this book!

New Beginnings picks up at the end of First Sight. Vaughan and Nicola are perfect together! Vaughan is more determined to get what he wants. Leaving a sad Nicola behind he sets off on his journey. Just remember your actions can have serious repercussions! The Cliffhanger is torment! And left me wanting the next book!

All in all a AWESOME read! I would recommend this series to everyone!
