About Fred Budin

Born and raised in New York City. I earned a degree in industrial engineering from New York Institute of technology. I worked in manufacturing for 12 years, mainly for the General Electric company. I left General Electric in 1976 to run a small business I had started part-time while being an engineer. Since then I have lived in South Florida and Georgia and in both states also started small businesses. As of the moment I am the sole owner of Northlake industries, a commercial cleaning company that cleans various buildings in Atlanta. This company is 25 years old.

What a great book for a beginner. Down to earth, easy to understand and, above all, it makes good sense.

Fred has converted years of experience and knowledge and compacted it into a very readable form. I went to college with Fred and he alwas had a way about him to comenucate with people (especially the ladies).

I found a few segments in his book that mirrored my experience and I can say this should be required reading for business school students, nat as a text book but as a way to open their minds to thinking about where they want to be in the future. Understanding where a successful person has been and how they got there is always a great read.

Thank you Fred. You opened up my eyes and I feel I need to write a book soon. Thanks for tour kick in the butt.

LOVED IT! The Primer’s pages are filled with plain spoken, practical advice with plenty of examples from the author’s own experience. How to choose a business and how to start it, sell it and keep it going are this fine book’s purpose. I find the text innovative, smart, honest, optimistic, motivational and just plain fun to read.

Down to earth reading at its best. Such a wonderful idea & I read this thing in 2 hours and it really did excite me to start something for myself. I wanted to give it 4.5 stars but I don't seem to know how to give a 1/2 star!
