Although I wasn't too enthused by the description of the book on Amazon, a friend had recommended that I read it so I decided to spend the $2.99 and give it a chance. It took me a few chapters to really get into the story but I ended up enjoying it.
Kaybree is a likable hero and I found myself really rooting for her. Some of the other characters actions are a bit confusing at first but they make more sense as you learn more about them and the world they live in. I really liked how this book doesn't just tell you who is "good" but you have to figure it out as you go. There were also some nice twists in the middle that made the story much more interesting. The book did leave me with quite a few unanswered questions but I'm hoping they will be resolved in the next book in the series.
If you're looking for a new favorite book, this probably won't be it. But if you are looking for a fun read that will keep you guessing and entertained then this is the book for you.
