Tempest C. Avery recently graduated from college with a creative writing degree. Along with the Mirror Warrior Novels, she has a trilogy that she's been slaving away at. However, unlike with the M.W's, these books are for young adults. She loves to read and write, and TALK about reading and writing, so if you've read any good books lately, drop her a line! Questions and comments about her work is always appreciated, though try and be gentle. Criticism is great, as long as it's constructive.

Wow!! Holy Crap!! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!
I received this book from the author free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
I want to thank the author Tempest C. Avery for the opportunity to read and review this amazing book in her Underworld Series.
In this, the 2nd of the Underworld Series Spencer has just gotten her boyfriend Micah’s back from the dead thanks to Thayer (the God of Death). Spencer has to figure out how to adjust her life around having Micah back, who she thought she couldn’t live without and fulfilling her remaining contract at night with Hadrian in the Underworld. All while spending days in school with her friends and handling life as things get more complicated and more dangerous with Persephone sending malicious spirits after her and possessing her school friends. Add to that the confusion and guilt over her developing feelings for Hadrian and learning her new Gravewalker abilities and how to use them for good makes life very stressful. Spencer is determined to figure out who she really is and if she wants what she always thought she wanted or if she has grown and changed and now wants more.
This book is even more compelling than the first and I could not put it down. The story world Tempest creates in the Underworld is so detailed and totally pulls you in. I found the relationships between Spencer and Sydney, Quinn, Hadrian, Thayer, Ferris to be so intriguing and complex. I fell even more in love with the characters and their relationships and interactions with each other.
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an exciting new series, especially if you like Greek mythology.

Wow.... just...wow!!!! I'm still speechless. I loved, loved, loved this book sooooo much!!! I'm still recovering from reading the ending. I'm having a serious case of butterflies. Or better, I had butterflies half of the time reading the book. Hadrian is just too hot and cute! He can be so sweet at times! He can also be a serious pain in the butt and I may have even wanted to hit him in the head a couple of times. But still love him veery much!
I also had this urge to slap Spencer too at times. She was so infuriatingly stubborn and made me frustrated! She didn't see that she was making a huge mistake by wanting to be with Micah at all costs even knowing deep down that her feeligs were changing.
I also didn't like Micah at all. In this book he was even more selfish and annoying than in the first book. He was also a bad boyfriend, if you ask me. What with Spence throwing a Birthday party for him and then him disappearing from her view without saying a word and just playing with his friends, then complaining he didn't see much of her all night. Right, she should have watched him hanging with his friends all night doing nothing else, instead of having fun with her friends and Hadrian. How sh@t of a boyfriend are you? As I said, I really don't like him. He has a weird way of loving Spencer. And he behaved poorly. Crazy jealous and selfish. She's better off without him. She's perfect for Hadrian (at least now she is, she was a little selfish too in the past, but she's changed).
I even kind of liked Thayer in this book. I'm curious about his interest in Syd. I wish she wasn't so interested in Hadrian though. Or maybe that was a facade. Mmmm... we'll see in the next book (Because I'm sure there will be a third book. Soon, I hope) what will happen with Thayer and Sydney. And the new couple Hadrian and Spence.
Did I say that I loved the ending? I'll say it again! I loved, loved, loved the ending! It was awesome! I wanted to be Spencer and kiss Hadrian senseless! I still have butterflies if I think of it. Wow, I got myself a new bookboyfriend! And I love him! I adore him!
I can't wait for the next book! I want to read it right now! At least I'm happy about the ending and the wait won't be as painful as it would have been if I was left with a cliffhanger or with a negative epilogue.
The only thing ruining the book a little, were the many, many spelling errors. They were even marked in red.
Spelling aside, the story was great! I fought gravity and sleep to read this book. I was tired and needed sleep like crazy but wanted to read this book so much that I fought the dropping of my eyelids, my brain trying to go Nighty-night on me and Dreamland calling to me.
I also felt immensely connected to the characters. And that's a very positive thing for me when reading a book. I was an emotional wreck with a serious case of butterflies by the time I got to the end of the book, but I loved every minute, every tiny butterfly, every feeling, every emotion and I think I'm now addicted -seriously addicted- to this series!
Note to the author: You're SO my hero right now!

When I first read Unhinged, I fell in love with the characters and the series so greatly, that I didn't really think I could fall deeper for them. But, now that I have finished Unleashed, I found out that I could.
Unleashed is one emotional roller coaster. I don't normally get so involved with the characters and there decisions that I dictate words out loud like the stereotypical sports fan, but I was. I had to step away and rant for a little. I'm not going to ruin anything, but the ending is so perfect and heart-warming that I might just cry a little bit. If you read my reviews, you should know that I am a very emotional person.
Fans of Unhinged will be blown away by Unleashed. Not only does it keep all the great character development, action, and breathtaking dialogue (Hadrian) of the first novel, but it dives deeper into those characters, has constant twists and turns, and has so many great quotes that I would have to highlight the entire novel. The amount of commas in that sentence still to not grasp how excited I am about this series.
I devoured Unleashed, once I started, I just couldn't stop. Readers will definitely not be disappointed.
An absolutely stunning sequel, I cannot wait to see more of what Avery has to offer.
