Loved it!!!!!! How smart is LA Banks to write a series about the children of her famous Vampire Hunter books. When I read the last pages of Thirteen, I found myself getting sad that it was over until I read about the Shadow Walker and I get to read about them all and more. Love it!!!!!!!!

This book is a must read. I love that the story is told through the eyes of Sarah. The themes covered in this book are very relevant to the issues faced by teens. Love the book. Can't wait for the next one.

This was a fun read, but I would recommend for older teens due to some the the language and theme. I liked most of the story line, but not so much of the teenage love stuff. (Twilight)The story as a whole was filled with plenty of action and fun. May this bring as much success as the the Neteru collection did.

Shadow Walker
Author: L.A. Banks

“Shadow Walker” is a young adult (YA) series –extended from L.A. Banks Vampire Huntress Legends series. “Shadow Walker” introduces the teen children of the VHL Neteru Guardians Team.
The story begins with the Neteru Compound teens preparing to move to the “Neteru Academy” a high school for all guardian children to learn, train, and develop their special talents. The teens are excited and scared all at the same time about going away to school. Each of them know they have to adapt to a new environment; and embrace the idea that they will one day take up the torch as Warriors of Light and alongside their parents and other guardians battle the dark forces of evil.
Sarah Rivera is in awe of her parent’s legacy as the Millennium Neteru’s. However Sarah is afraid she won’t be able to live up her parents expectations and she also fears the dark. Sarah’s gifts, talents and abilities are put to the test as she tries to fit in with a new family. The mean girls at school start trouble all the time and want Sarah and her compound sisters to go home. Sarah is determined to make high school work despite the odds stacked against her.
Sarah and her twin Alejandro are always at odds, but agree they need to take action to find out why students /teachers are disappearing. There are many secrets behind the walls of the academy. Strange things are happening as Sarah finds herself involved in the mayhem and chaos going on. In the stressful moments Sarah and her compound family must stick together to uncover those secrets and the academy and safe haven their parents created remains!

I first read a short story from L. A. Banks after purchasing “Death’s Excellent Vacation” last year. I needed something to read while on vacation during the summer with my family. I came across L. A. Banks’s story and could not stop researching her online to find other stories by her to read. I read all of the Huntress series before Thanksgiving and was delighted when I came across this book on her website. It was available for download and I just had to have it. It was a really refreshing continual flow of the story from the parents to the kids. I really enjoy the characters and wish HBO would bring them to life one day. It is a very magical story that reflect the real world that we live in as far as the many different believes and nationalities in the world today. The paranormal favor is just a welcome trick and spice to the whole picture.

Ok so we who are in the know know Mama Banks throws down. No matter which series you read it is always satisfying meal. That being said sad as I was to see the VHL series go I am now glad it did because this new light is just the right hors d'oeuvres. Just the right start for this unfortunate 3 hopefully soon to be increased to 7 course meal. Not only do we get a small taste of the old gang which was well I will just say a wonderful emotional read for me at least I loved it u get to see the newbeies coming into there own and it was refreshing I am hoping to follow this gang until they grow right on up and become the onl heads in the group. I am so looking forward to Shadow Seekers can't wait. Well done LA Well Done....

A lovely continuation to the Vampire Huntress Legend Series. L.A. Banks introduces you to the kids of the characters we loved so much. The book was well written, had lots of action, and budding romances that you just can't wait to see how they will shake out in the books to come. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Wow! The main character, Sarah is likeable, and begins to grow on you as she discovers her way in school, her worth, and her powers. But she isn't the only interesting character, this book has many and they are all given just enough depth for you to either like them or not. There is never a dull moment, although there is a lot of information given regarding the world that is being built. This world includes a multitude of races, mixes of paranormal beings gifts/curses in many of the characters, with a bit of mystery, touch of romance, and lots of drama thrown in. The characters do use slang, which is not typical for some YA books, and this one fits the kids perfectly.
Okay, I so feel like this book was a steal for just $3.99. This book would be about 398 pages if it was in print and if you like Vampire, paranormal books, and demon slayer books for adults or teens, you will love this.
