I've been a part of selling for over 25 years as an individual contributor and sales leader. Roles have included managing alliances, selling to the mid market over the phone, managing large enterprise sales, and just about everything in between. I have typically worked for small to mid-sized companies, although now I work for a very large organization. I've also co-founded two start-ups, gone nearly broke, and re-launched my career at the age of 40.

How often do you get to sit next the author of a book on a plane ride. Well I did. I had the pleasure of sitting next to Sam Lorimer. Not sure how we got on the subject of "Click, Send and Sell" but we did. And am I glad we did. Out of curiosity I bought Sam's book the next morning and tried out his email strategy. Within 5 minutes of sending the emails I received responces from 2 customers that I have been trying desperately hard to reach. I could not believe it. I was so taken aback I sent Sam and email and shared the story. In all my years of reading business stuff, these are 22 pages of frankly the most powerful sales help I have ever received. For what its worth. I sell airplanes to really, really wealthy folks. These people are typically very hard to reach. I'm not sure if its coincidence, but, I don't believe in luck. Excellent, practical tips for a sales professional. I've successfully used these techniques over the past month with my customers to move sales opportunities forward. One point that is not made in the book is that these tips are also very effective within an organization! I work for a very large (think of Dilbert) company that is extremely internally (and definitely not customer) focused. These same techniques are effective in getting people within your own organization to respond and take action also.

It is a great book that provides practical advice for sales people to get responses from their leads and opportunities. It is especially useful to garner responses from those opportunities that have “gone-quiet.” The author provides many examples that can be used right away.
