Review by: David Blake on Dec. 30, 2013 :
I found this a real struggle to get through, in spite of its short length. There's a story in there, a story which should be exciting, dramatic, moving because it's full of action and incident... But as a reader I just had no sense of connection to anything that was going on. The entire story is told in a dry, matter-of-fact style, there's no character, no feeling, no soul to it.
So unfortunately I have to apply the harshest criticism I can to a story and say it was just... boring. You've clearly got the imagination, and the writing ability, but you need to find a way to make your story engage the reader. If you're relating a dramatic event, the reader has to feel the drama, not feel as though they may as well have just been reading a laborious description of somebody buttering a slice of toast.

I kind of feel obligated to write something, as there are no existing reviews.

I read it but, the story never really grabbed my attention.
