Description

My name is Olivia Lowery. I’m a wealthy socialite residing outside of the Dark Coast, on the Upper East Side no less. I’m beautiful, I’m privileged and I can have just about any guy that I want. That is… until the morning of my sixteenth birthday. That’s when I discovered something different about myself.

The world view developed in this set of stories is wonderful. The major story lines are great. The supporting short stories and novellas add depth and background.

The world is large and broad ranging. The combined myths and number of characters can be daunting. It might be best to keep track of the characters as they develop. Minor characters show up later in the series in greater detail; often later in the book or subsequent books.

I read the first two books out of order. Which I think is a better start. The later books should be read in order. The short stories and novellas fit into a number of places. They can be read after the major novels, or between. Careful attention to time lines and characters will be important crossing the books.

If your like I was, your trying to find out what happened to Leigha from the first book and this book is through the eyes of Olivia. Don't worry you'll catch up with Leigha in this book too, although I was definitly confused by the relationship introduction from our previous main hero from book 1. Grammatical error in this book are huge compared to the first book, which definitely dropped a star for me. It's still a good storyline and I'll keep reading to see what happens to Leigha and Olivia.
