About Wayne Hicks

Well, they tell me I need to say a bit about myself, here, so here goes!

I was born in St. Louis in 1955, and grew up in a small town in Southern Illinois. There, the same imagination that makes me a talented writer today often got me into trouble. Thankfully, I survived, and some of my early adventures have helped to shape my life and, and now my work.

Over the years, I've held a number of jobs; I've been in law enforcement, sales, advertising, and auto repair, and served as a banker, reporter, radio talk show host, music producer, song writer, theatrical, movie and video producer, truck driver, taxi driver...well, you get the picture, right?

And then, a few years ago, I ran afoul of the IRS, and found myself serving a five year sentence in Federal Prison for a tax offense. I'd written a number of short stories, poems and other things over the years, but I'd never felt I had time to write a novel. Well, all of a sudden, I had lots of time, so one day I sat down and started writing! And guess what? I found out what I should have been doing all along. I think that's the real secret to happiness... find out what you love to do, and do it, even if it takes you your whole life!

From Prison to Publishing!
I'm looking forward to the release of my first few novels in the next couple of months, and I've already got several more planned and in progress! The way I see it, I'm only 58 years old. So, okay, I'm getting into the game a little late, but I've got enough years left to get a lot of writing done, and the way I'm going I might catch up to some of the big guys!

But writing isn't all I'm about. My experiences in the entertainment industry have left him with a love for movies, so I plan to produce Independent movies of his books for Internet broadcast. I've already partnered up with a screenwriter who is hard at work on adaptations of The Very Swift Witches and Promise of Magic even now!

Watch this spot for details. And if you've ever dreamed of being in movies...well, there's a lot of undiscovered talent out there, so I'll be looking for new faces to cast as these characters I love so much.

You never know. Could be your big break, eh?

Imaginary "answers" to imaginary problems. There is no evidence that the gods exist, yet the writer insists upon fabricating irrational and often bizarre thoughts and behaviors and then projecting them on to these gods--- and calls them "answers." That is, the writer assumes without evidence that the gods exist, and then the writer "explained" why those gods do what they do. This is then presented as "truth."

I give five stars to the author Wayne Hicks for his book, The Book of Answers. I connected with this on a personal level as I have been struggling with my personal relationship with God. The author answered many of my questions.
This book had my attention from the very beginning. I sat down to start reading it and wasn’t able to put it down until I was finished! I love all of the references to the scriptures as they related to the points that the author was making all throughout the book.
I feel that I have a closer relationship to God thanks to reading this book. I recommend everyone read this book no matter where you are with your own relationship with God. This is an exceptional book!

Mr Hicks really hit the nail on the head with this one. I have struggled for years to figure out why certain things happen and how could god allow it. It all started when my friend was murdered. I really had no love towards god at that time because of being told that it was his will.

I realized once I start reading this book that there are so many other factors that go into this. There are some people with extremely strong faith who do not ask questions because they feel they know the answers. I have never been that person. The book of answers opened my eyes up to the possibility that maybe others are wrong and that god is not malevolent.

The book itself made me consider so much more about how I may want to try to gain a different perspective of. I have spent so long being so lost and trying to figure out what is going on that it can be this simple. You search inside your soul and you may just find your answer. My friend that passed always tried to teach me how to be optimistic and this book gave me that glimmer of hope.

I would highly recommend this book to someone who is struggling with figuring out where they stand. It does help give you a reasonable point of view to look at. This will involve one having to keep an open mind but that is not always so easy. I hope that those of you who read it enjoy it as much as I did this man is an inspiration.

At first I wasn’t sure how I was going to perceive the book, considering God and Heaven seems to be a touchy subject with me. But I think that it has provided me with a sense of wonderment and is definitely a book I am going to refer back to several times over. I have questions, just like the next person, and this book definitely explained some of the answers.

I have always known that matter cannot be created nor destroyed and have always thought that the soul is immortal. I’ve known from taking several Philosophy courses and studying at University (and through my readings/research) that as weak and deathly as the body is and will be, our soul will never die. Our soul will always be transformed from one thing to another when it needs to move on from its current form. So seeing that someone else does agree with this makes me believe in what I do think is right.

It makes me feel a sense of relief, as it should anyone searching for answers that we are indeed immortal souls and that death is just another door to be explored. I loved how the Author explained the answers through his own experiences and illustrated that these answers can be found in everyone’s life. I am thoroughly impressed by the non judgemental tone that was used, and the in depth answers provided to pretty much every question that you may ask yourself throughout your life time. He provides some amazing answers on whether there is a Heaven or Hell, What our Purpose is, and whether we are immortal or not. But what really made me love this book is his explanation as to why God allows us to suffer.

So if you’re looking for some answers about life, about God and about Heaven then please take a look at “The Book of Answers,” as you won’t be disappointed.

If you had a FAQ about religion and Christianity this is an excellent book to find all of your answers!!
With a working knowledge of the world’s religions and with experience in church, Sunday school and revivals you may find this book a helpful guide as you ponder your existence and connections to Spirit or God.

The information is written as the author’s personal experience in encountering his struggles in life, and the challenges he has faced.
He attempts to acknowledge the other religions and beliefs of the world but the main emphasis is on western Christianity.
Personally I found this book written from a non judgmental and helpful book for anyone needing help answering plaguing questions such as ”Who am I?” and ”is there hell?”
He lays out his questions struggles and answers in a way that is accessible. And his point of view is delivered in a loving voice.
Thought provoking and comforting is how I received this information.
A very well written book on such a huge subject!!

I have to say that the Book of Answers is a wonderful book. As I read it I realized that all my life I have felt fear, guilt, and despair. So now I will be reading The New Revelation of Truth. For some time now I have been looking for answers I often wondered about and I now I have found them in Wayne Hicks book.

Wayne did such a wonderful job expressing how he found his true happiness. At the same time he reached out to me and showed me that I am not alone in my quest for answers. Some of those answers were hard to find, until I read this book. Now I don’t wonder if God is real or not .Now I know that he is truly real, and he truly wants me to be happy.
I highly recommend that if you too are looking for answers, read this book .You will be pleasantly surprised by what you learn.

This is the first book by Wayne Hicks that I’ve read, and I’ve got to say, I’m really impressed! His style of writing is superb and everything flowed so well, I’ll definitely be checking out his other books.

I’ve spent a good part of my life asking many of the same questions that were discussed in this book. Wayne Hicks does a very good job with providing answers for every single question and provides a verse for each answer, which I think is very important.

It’s very obvious from reading this book that Wayne has been through some very tough times in his life and he does a great job writing about how his beliefs helped him get through. My heart hurts for some at some points in this book, but I’m glad that through religion, he is able to make sense of some of those hardships.

I think this book is a must read for just about anyone – religious or not. It’s just fantastic and I’m glad I read it.

When I read ”The Book of Answers”, it gave me great insight on the ever going questions of, if god is real. This is a question I have asked myself for years. We often wonder if there is a god or not. But what ever became before god? Some would say that without god, we would not have the thing’s that we love and cherish today. The book also tells us about the battle’s of religion vs Scientology, and many more. Such as the big bang theory, and how the universe really became what it is today.

Living life, many of us on a daily routine will question. Why were we created? What is the path we are destined for? Will god accept me if I do this versus that? All questions that this book helps us answer and shows us how to let him in our lives. If god does have a plan for each of us individually, then he will lead us down that righteous path, every step of the way. His energy, and everlasting light will show us the path. With all the questions that this book answers for us, human suffering and sin are also discussed and explained. The problems of today’s world, and the issues that occur on a daily basis, can not be avoided. And they can be a thorn in our daily lives. But “The Book of Answers”, shows us how to deal with these in a more delightful mood so that we can adjust and move on with our lives in a positive manner.

With this said, anyone who questions if god exists, or how we all came to be, you should read this great novel by Wayne Hicks. It gives some great insight on some major questions. And ultimitely will show you that god does in fact exist, and that he too can change your lives for the better if you let him!

“The Book of Answers” takes the reader on an amazing journey, empathizing with the individual’s own inquires of a higher power and connects all questions of such an existence to a powerful, unanimous truth – God is real. The quest begins by enlightening the readers of life (and the universe) before God. Through self-discussion and wager, He created all that we know and see today. The passage continues by addressing the long contested premise of religious versus science, relating concepts such as the laws of motion and the big bang theory to how the universe really begun. Further proposed is the reason for which the universe and life within it were created – to grow, to reproduce, and to love. Realizing these purposes requires change and adaption in how individuals currently live their lives, accepting what can and what cannot be changed. Moreover, the passage discusses the existence of the Devil, his demons, angels, and how each of these components, interpreted in fear, will have a negative impact on our spirit. Among the great questions brilliantly resolved in this passage, [human] suffering and sin are also addressed, that such elements were necessary overall. In addition, the book explains how to address the concepts with today’s youth – that the notions of human nature must be redirected in order for humanity to prosper overall. The perils of the world cannot be hidden from either ourselves or our children, and “The Book of Answers” teaches us how to instill in them a more enlightened way of thinking so that they can tackle the dangers of the world and succeed rather than succumbing to these dangers and falling short of true happiness. “The Book of Answers” is a magnificent read for those in search of truth, illumination, direction, and insight into true happiness.

The Book of Answers, by Wayne Hicks, is a book that I can definitely relate to. I too had questioned myself before if God even existed at all. A time ago I thought God was mean or just did not care about human being because of all the suffering in this world.
I used to ask myself ’’if God exists then why does he allow us to suffer so much?’’ I could not find the answer anywhere, including from the Pastor at the church I was attending. This all changed two years ago when I read a Watchtower magazine a Jehovah Witness woman gave to me. Thanks to that lady and many prayers, I now believe there’s a God above.
I was very happy to read The Book of Answers because I now know that I am not alone with how I have felt in the past. There are a lot of us that experience what the author has written. I recommended this powerful book to people like myself that need more religious answers about God. This book speaks the truth and will open the light to many hearts that needs answer about the Creator.

I have never been much of a religious person. I have tried many different times to just BE religious, but I don’t think it works that way. I have never felt like there was nothing there, just that who/whatever WAS there didn’t care so much what I had to say. Prayer just started to feel like wishful thinking, so I just stayed home on Sundays.

It’s obvious reading the first few pages that the author has been through a lot in his life. It’s not hard to imagine someone losing his faith, because faith is such a rare thing to find these days. Even when you do, it seems like an oddity. ”What, you go to church EVERY Sunday? You really believe in God? If there was a God…” etc, blah blah blah. There are a lot of unanswered questions when it comes to religion, but I think Hicks does a good job trying to address all of them and in a concise way.

I think my favorite part is his evaluation of the definition of sin. Sin is a big deal to most all religions, and it always comes back to all men are sinners. I’ve always felt that was a little extreme, and Hicks’ adaptation on the subject covers the whole matter really well.

I am sending this book to a list of people that need this kind of walkthrough on religion and maybe just a little wake-up call. Great book, definitely something to keep on the coffee table to read over again.

Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down. Next thing I knew, I was done. I can’t even explain how I felt reading it.

I have talked to plenty of different types of Christians, but not 1 of them explained things to me the way they were explained in this book. I like this way.

I can tell by reading this book that the author has been through a lot. Through his troubles of doubting that there was a God, he came to realize that he works in different ways. All he had to do was believe.

Wayne definitely hit the thumb on the nail on the first page. I’m really glad I read this book and I am going to read The New Revelation that he recommended in this book!

I grew up in the church, was forced to go to church every Sunday. Do you know to this day I really do not remember ever really learning anything like I have learned just by reading The Book of Answers.
I can so relate to the author, Wayne Hicks ,when he states that he lost faith in God, for I as well lost my faith in God for years. It was a very hard time in my life and I just could not see why God was not helping me and so I lost faith. In reality though, He was right there with me the whole time. I was just choosing not to accept His help, just as the author so stated.
I let go of the fear, despair and guilt as I finished reading, just as the book suggests ,and I felt something within me changing. This is a book for anyone that wants answers of how to build or have a better relationship with God.
I give all the props to Wayne Hicks for writing what he has learned, felt and shared about how he came to learn the truth. The prayers he shares are what I like to call, things ”that hit the nail on the head”
Even if you are a non believer, give this book a chance. Read it and I know you will feel the Spirit move in you.

The Book of Answers by Wayne Hicks is a 5 star great read! Reading this book really taught me a lot about who the author is and about how he became what he is today. I was truly inspired by reading this. Learning how he became who he is and everything he went through to become who he is, was truly inspiring. He never gave up no matter what life threw at him

He worked many different jobs, and he ran afoul with the IRS and served federal prison time. He didn’t let his age stop him from accomplishing what he wanted to do. Not only does he write, but he also has a love for movies, and plans to produce independent movies of his books such as "The Very Swift Witches" and "Promise of the Magic" for internet broadcast.

All in all I really loved reading this. He may have written this book for others to learn about him, his life, and everything he endured, but I feel the moral of the story is to never give up no matter what happens or what life throws at you. I highly recommend this book to others to see what this amazing author has to offer!."
