First off... Mike Bennett is the shizzzz. This story is absolutely amazing and had me hooked the entire time, the only thing better than the book is his podcast version of it because he is a master storyteller and his voice overs are fantastic and at times freakin' hysterical!. This story could be in book form, podcast form or a film and i would continue to want to experience it from beginning to end over and over. I should mention also he has some other really really excellent stories that he's done including "One Among the Sleepless" , and a super awesome short story collection called "Hall of Mirrors", a must for any fans of shows like the Twilight Zone. I also recommend going to his website ( http://www.mikebennettpodcast.com/ ) and following him on Facebook so you can keep up with all the new stuff that will be/better be coming out soon... like a sequel to Underwood and Flinch... ahhemm... I know you're listening Mike :) -ENJOY!!! :) p.s. I give this 37 stars :)

The podcast was so fantastic! Now I'm reading the e-book and it's just like the author, the wonderful Mike Bennett, is narrating the story to me again.
The book has everything you could want, horror, humour, romance (ok lust!) and a great plot.

I promise, you will not be disappointed!

A great book by a great author. This book is in the great tradition of vampire literature but with a modern twist. It's violent (obviously) and well worth a few hours of your time. A must read.

In podcast form this story is a "can't wait for the next episode" bodice busting, rip roaring monster of a story (not sure if there are actually bodices in the story but you get my meaning). In ebook format it's gotta be a winner! Download now or be afraid to go out in the dark.....

I loved this as a podcast and its great to have it in e-book so i can read it too. A great view on the Vampire genre. Enough tradition to satisfy the older fans and plenty of modern day elements to make it all the more current. I have to say i read this in Mikes voice, the podcasts were very entertaining and professional. Five Stars for scale and scope too.

This book is a phenomenal vampire story in the old tradition of blood, gore, romance (in the traditional sense) and deep, well drawn characters who struggle through very real moral dilemmas. No whiny, sparkly douchepires here. I have listened to the entire story on a podcast and I can definitely say that this story delivers on all levels.

At last a vampire novel that doesn't involve sparkly teenagers! This story is first class in every way. I listened to the podcast version everyday for 6 months and it literally kept me sane during a mind numbing job! Underwood is up there with the vampire elite for sheer style and the host of other excellent characters became firm friends of mine. There is a really original feel to this tale which is something hard to do these days and I can't recommend it high enough. I really hope Mike gets the recognition he deserves for such a masterpiece.

Have you ever wondered where writers get their ideas? Will they come from the imagination, dreams, movies, nature, or buy from somewhere else. I think this book was so absorbing that I didn’t even think those issues.

Mike Bennett wrote so well about vampires in his book Underwood & Flinch, that I felt like I would have been present in the story. This book was so magnificent and fascinating. After the recent explosion of certain vampire novels, I was at first, tempted to give this one a miss. How pleasently suprised I was. This story reminds me very much of the classic Hammer Horrors of the 60's and 70's. If your looking for a vampire novel thats so much different to the recent garbage out there, this is the book for you
