About Marti Johnson

Marti Johnson is a well known reporter and journalist, formerly with ABC News, Hearst Television and Tribune.
Ms. Johnson grew up in a small town outside of Salt Lake City, Utah; graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University and makes her home currently in Washington, DC.
A lifelong insomniac, she was often in the kitchen having a glass of milk and a cookie by her parents who heard noises at 1 o'clock in the morning.
As an adult, her career has added to the problem. Long hours reporting in various locations around the country and the need to the graveyard shift led to some very painfully sleepless nights and days.
To alleviate this situation, she tried everything from hot baths to extra workouts to prescription drugs and says the prescriptions were the least helpful. "I usually woke up a deep sleep but feeling unrested."
In this book, she offers everything she learned over years of study, and the solutions she worked out. After years of trial and error, she compiled her strategies for relief and the checklist that any insomniac needs to get Great Sleep.

Some really good sleep strategies. I've been having a really difficult time sleeping, so I think this will help. Especially liked the night routine tips. I think I'm also going to try some of the recommended supplements/herbal remedies.

I really enjoyed this book. I don't generally have trouble sleeping, but my husband often does, and let's face it, when he's restless and awake, we both are. It's nice to have such a comprehensive list of issues to address and strategies to attempt so we can both hopefully achieve that perfect night's sleep. Because you know what they say; if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Where was this handbook years ago? I loved how it is concise, conversational and oh, so helpful. Thanks for saving me the time of wading through a gazillion self-help sleeping books to glean this. I have several friends who will like me, benefit from this handy handbook.

Smart. Practical. Actionable.

The author wastes no time in getting to the heart of the matter with solid suggestions on things to try when your "Z's count" is low. And while the advice may help you sleep, the ebook won't put you there.

Great short read on insomnia. Nice and concise. The author is right about my insomnia being caused by several different things.
It's nice having all the different "tips" in one place and her suggestions about how to fix the problem are intriguing. I can't wait to try the "Sleep Like a Baby" strategy. Where's my blankie? LOL! Thanks and GOOD NIGHT.
