About Beth Patterson

Beth Patterson is a licensed psychotherapist and grief counselor in Denver, and specializes in grief, loss and life transitions, as well as trauma, depression and anxiety. Beth has been the Life Care Coordinator and Bereavement Coordinator at SolAmor Hospice in Denver since 2008. She previously served as a grief counselor and bereavement coordinator at other hospices in the Denver area.

Beth speaks before various groups, including professional and personal caregivers, churches and other spiritual organizations and nursing home and assisted living facility staffs, about self-care, vicarious trauma, dementia, advance directives and other practical end of life issues, grief and loss, Tibetan Buddhist practices at end of life and debunking the myths of hospice.

In addition to her hospice career and private psychotherapy practice, Beth is a certified mindfulness meditation instructor and teaches courses on Tibetan Buddhism in Denver. She writes extensively about the intersection of Buddhism and psychotherapy, grief and loss, trauma and end of life issues. In a previous incarnation, Beth was an entertainment attorney for over 20 years, in New York City and Colorado
