Great series, poor old Blade gets beat up a lot, but pulls through each and every time. The story development was exceptional and once the scene was set you could wrap yourself in the moment and just live the book. May be not so many books next series. Great read non the less.

Really enjoyed the entire Queen's Blade series and am planning to purchase the two prequels. The writing is very good and the story is fresh. I especially enjoyed the descriptions of the "Master of the Dance" scenes and even the fights - which I would otherwise have only skimmed over. Ms. Southwell enabled me to see every most as it occurred. I must echo some other comments, though, and say I too wish that Blade didn't beat up so much! But, that's is such an integral part of the story line and a part of Blade's character. Excellent series and will definitely buy more of Ms. Southwell's works.

An excellent read. Like Nicole Barnett I don't normally buy ebooks but I enjoyed the first free one so much I have bought the series and am loving it. Great writing, wonderful characters and Blade is so enigmatic you can't help but get drawn in. If you like to get completely immersed in a story - this is the book series for you.

I recommend this book to anyone that loves to get fully wrapped up in whatever they're reading. This series makes me forget that time exists. I normally don't spend money on e-books but after getting the first one free and reading through it in one sitting i couldnt live without knowing what was going to happen in all the the other books. So here i am buying them all and loving them so much i'm actually writing reviews.

My reviews are very simple, I either like the book and recommend it or I don't.
I like the book and recommend it. the author is at par with my favorite Sci-fi authors (David Weber, Anne McCaffrey, David Drake) to name a few.

This is the second book in the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. What makes this series of books so enjoyable is that I was not able to foresee what was going to happen. It did indeed keep me captivated. I feel this book and the previous one was written for all audiences, which in itself is a very good accomplishment.
