About Bethany van Sterling

I write literary fiction infused with historical, paranormal, and fantasy themes.

I'm also a teacher, music journalist, and dancer/performing artist.

I've been greatly inspired by my all-time favorite author Milan Kundera, and classics such as Mary Shelley, Oscar Wilde, Voltaire, Herman Hesse, fairy tales, and folklore. But most of all, the sensuous arts of conversation, music, film, the performing arts, and, well, life in general. ;)

Really unique story - I loved the fact that it was set in Spain and dealt with local folklore, without getting boring or ridiculous. A work of fantasy I could actually imagine taking place in real life. Worth the read!
