About Albin F. Irzyk, Brigadier General (ret.)

Brigadier General Albin F. Irzyk USA (Ret.) fought WW II in Europe as a 27/28-year-old Tank Battalion Commander. Was twice wounded. Commanded the 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment along the “Iron Curtain” during the Berlin Crisis of 1961.
Served two years in Vietnam, one of which was as Assistant Division Commander of the 4th Infantry Division. Among his decorations for valor, he holds the Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary heroism.
He and his wife, Evelyn, reside in West Palm Beach.
