A note from Julia: I love to read anything that catches my interest – my books reflect this eclectic taste: Paranormal time travel romance, London criminals and fat old detectives, I even created an alternate universe where mythical beasts exist.

Review by: Jonathan Antony Strickland on July 31, 2013 :
An interesting and well written story of a young soldier facing execution. I really liked how the guy thought, sometimes thinking back to his past or even seeing a light-hearted joke as he awaited his impending doom.

The character of Crombie was also interesting, and the part he played near the end (can't say too much or I might spoil the plot for any future readers)

Just a quick note to let the author know that the other story you have here on smashowords entitled "Crombie's Christmas" is not downloading properly. I've tried online reading and downloading it in plain text but the file is not there?
