Doug Sullivan has over fifteen years experience as a clinical psychologist and medical doctor. He was educated at University College, London University with a Degree in Medicine (MBBS) and a further Degree in Psychology from the same university.
He was a trainee doctor at University College Hospital and went on to form a successful practice as a Psychologist on Harley Street.
During his career, he has delivered lectures on many aspects of Psychoanalysis, specialising in Dream Analysis and its links to understanding sleep patterns. He has extensive experience in dealing with sleep and its connection to the psyche and has lectured in leading universities in the world on the subject as well as working as an unpaid consultant for several leading emotional welfare charities.
This specialisation was a direct result of seeing a close colleague suffer from severe depression as a result of irregular sleeping patterns and recurring dreams while in university and it has been one of his aims to further our understanding of repressed emotions and their links to depression in teenagers and young adults.
Doug is currently writing his first ground-breaking book on the subject, detailing over a decade of research and results, the culmination of a life-long desire to improve our understanding of depression through analysing in detail, the repression of feelings and their links to dreams.
In his spare time, He likes to travel to historic cities and sample local cuisines and is an avid fan of tennis. He has been married for twelve years, has three children and resides in the UK.
