PARAGON is an excellent read. It explores a future world in language that doesn't talk down to the young adult age group at which it is aimed. As an adult reader, i found this book entertaining and believable. Natalie Potts writes convincingly of a world that is very different from ours and yet where the dilemmas being faced are believable and soemthing we can understand. The story moves fast enough and smoothly enough that i had to ration my reading to make it last a weekend and at the end of it, i was ready for the next installment. Only there isn't one. So much story left to tell if only it makes a certain magic number. I liked each of the main characters and strangely, even sympathised and puzzled over the one adult's actions as the story ended.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend PARAGON to young and old readers alike.
