Keiran Broadhurst was born in Ipswich on Sunday 9th November 1986 (Scorpio). As a small child Keiran would make up stories and at high school set out to write his first book TOH. Since then he has written a number of stories and novels, which he has never published.
In 2005 Keiran quolified as a Bach Practitioner and also began his career as a carer, which was of no suprise to his family and friends. In 2011 he set up a book club at the care home where he worked and set up a magazine to accompany it. It was in this magazine he decided to write a short set of episodes to make the residence of the home laugh and so was born The Shenanigans of Aggie's Elbow, a story about an elderly lady who gets her own back on the carers of Buttons Court. But when another young carer James whom Aggie rather fancies finds himself overworked, dumped by his girlfriend and then bullied by his boss Aggie decides to take matters into her own hands, care has never been so deadly!
Chirstmas 2011 Keiran wrote a short story called Soot, Whisky and Ho Ho's, which because of its popularity he published on Kindle the following year. He is now in the process of getting it published on paperback and will include the revised chapter one of The Shenanigans of Aggie's Elbow.
Keiran is currently writing his next story in the Shenanigans series The Shenanigans of a Sparked Sparky, where an electrician is found dead in the loft of a woman he was working for. Delores Cantlin (James's Great Aunt) and former colleague DCI Pratt investigate. There is also love in Kesgrave when James meets Cheryl, the daughter of Delores's friend who comes up to stay for the weekend. This is due to be finished by the end of 2013!
In the future Keiran plans to continue the Shenanigans series and has promised that Aggie will return! The series will continue to revolve around James, his great Auntie Delores and DCI Pratt and is set to finish the series either on the fourth or fifth book were he has said he will kill off one of the main Characters. He then wants to get on with his other projects, one of which is TOH, the book he started at high school. But before that he wants to finish the first book in his Magic Land of Woodawn series and then work on a semi-autobiographical Novel, which he plans to complete as a saga.
Keiran Broadhurst currently lives in Witnesham with his wife Nathalie and two sons Logan and Conner.
on Aug. 09, 2013 :
I enjoyed both stories. On the constructive critical side, I noted a thread of anger and resentment seemed to run along both stories, making me wonder if that was going to be a trademark. On the other hand, I enjoyed the innovation of a telepathic Santa and the revenge of an abused assisted care facility against an (un) care worker.
