This is a young adult romance, which centers on Valentine’s Day. (I consider young adult from 14-21) From the very first page you come to realize that Linda (my female protagonist) has some trust issues. This becomes evident as David (my male protagonist) seeks to enter into a dating relationship with her. Meanwhile David’s sister, Tiffany, is seeking to land the high school heartthrob, Kevin Blakely. However, Tiffany being a Christian, soon struggles over whether to date a non-Christian guy. There are other characters from David’s church, which secretly have romantic aspirations of their own. This includes David’s best girl-friend, Sam (Samantha) who would like to see something develop between her and David. On top of all this…, is the plush bear. Being directed by “The Peddler”, this bear has a way of popping up at opportune moments. From David and Linda’s meet-cute, to being passed around the group of family and friends, this little bear brings to light the motivation for each of the characters as they seek out these relationships. The biblical message teaches that when you seek out a relationship, you should be looking for a mate that is equally-yoked, and has the inner qualities as described in 1st Corinthians 13; the love chapter. A great Young Adult / Inspirational Romance / Holiday themed (Valentine’s Day) book.
