Charlie’s Angel (Street Justice book one)
Samantha Fury
This book is about a small town girl named Charlie who ends up homeless in one of Chicago’s rougher boroughs. A good Christian girl Charlie finds herself having to question everything she ever believed about people. She has to take charity from a prostitute and finds herself through a set of unusual circumstances working as an escort for the local pimp. Charlie doesn’t understand how God could have let her fall into these circumstances. She wonders if she could have done things differently when God shows her how he uses all things for good. Soon she has a job that is the career she always wanted helping a reformed criminal and new Christian start growing in faith and helping other young ladies out of lives of addiction and prostitution. Along the way, she falls in love with the worst kind of man. Angel is the local crime bosses personal bodyguard. Or is he? He has no time for a woman in his life especially a woman like Charlie. Yet the two are attracted to each other. In spite of their personal resolve to not act on that attraction they seem to be unable to resist the attraction. Will they find a way past their many differences in a real relationship; or will the circumstances that once thrust them together now work to keep them apart?
This book was a fun read and grabbed my attention from word one when we are introduced to a blood covered pistol holding Charlie. Ms. Fury has crafted a story of seeing God work in mysterious ways. Both Charlie and Angel are very well defined characters. As are all the supporting cast. From the start you are rooting for Charlie to not only survive but to win through all her problems to a victory. You also can’t help but find yourself cheering for true love to win the day in Charlie and Angel’s lives. This book had as much action and adventure as it did romance which is a plus for a guy like me who doesn’t like to admit he reads romance. Samantha Fury is as good if not a better writer of Christian Fiction as Terri Blackstoke or Dee Henderson. Charlie’s Angel is a definite five star novel and a great beginning to the Street Justice series. I will definitely be reading more of Ms. Fury’s novels.

This book is riveting, with well-developed characters and plot. God's word is very familiar to this author and her love for lost souls is apparent through this great piece of fiction. The scenes are well defined and the plot is realistic.

This author definitely has a heart for spreading the Word, and all the right words to do so. Characters who seem headed for destruction, find salvation instead. She must be well acquainted with God's forgiveness and love because it overflows from every page.

I wish that everyone who reads could find this book and read it! It is very well written and will certainly keep you interested from beginning to the end of the story. It is written with a Christian perceptive, and has everything a novel needs to keep you reading, romance, suspense, crime, and drama. I intend to read every book that Samantha Fury writes!!

Romance is definitly not the genre I usually select from. In fact if it's under the heading "Romance" I usually steer clear. But if it's written by Samantha Fury, I'll buy it. This book totally kept me on my toes with the suspense, and since the romance is written from a Christian worldview, there's no worry about what smutty thing would happen next. I REALLY cannot wait for the sequel!

A wonderful novel that can take the grunge of Chicago and leave you feeling that spiritualness can reach all areas, no matter the walks of life. On top of the underlying message of the novel, it is a fantastic romance and suspenseful story that keeps you wondering what will happen next with Charlie and her attraction to Angel...

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a wonderful novel with a Christian perspective. Refreshing to read. I knew what was going to happen, but the novel was so enjoyable that I enjoyed the journey and cared about the characters. I look forward to reading more by this author.
