This book reads like a historical romance in the tradition of those authors who swing to the side of fairy tale type narration as opposed to historical detail and accuracy. Take note of the BDSM tag - although the hero is the main source of the noted "spanking content", the villain is a sadist to a greater degree and is not limited to consensual sex.
To sum up, there is a good romance plot in the fantasy style, lighthearted narration tone and the traditional HEA ending for romance.
