About Edward Lange

My name is a Edward Lange. I'm a sci-fi/fantasy writer and college student from South Florida. When I'm not relating my psychotic episodes into literary form, I enjoy reading comic books, novels, and short stories, endlessly searching for obscure information online and watching Jurassic Park for the nine-thousandth time. I live with my loving family in South Florida, as I try to find a real job.

I really liked this. Simply written but understated and compelling, it describes the journey of a guy who has "slipped" off the Earth and is floating outwards through space.

A few spelling mistakes aside, I loved the easy writing, great sentences like this: "Dry river beds ran over the desert surface, like wrinkles on an old face."

There follows some great, concise, and very accurate descriptions of the planets. The whole thing reminded me of the scientific clarity of Arthur C Clarke, but also the sense of the cosmic vastness of space, found in writers like William Hope Hodgson and H.P.Lovecraft.

As my friend Jonathan Strickland reccommended this to me, I reccommend it on to others. Very good, this one stayed with me for a while after reading it.

I found this little Solar Trek through our system most enjoyable indeed. I loved the way the writer slips the individual off the earth in a bizzare, trippy and silly way, yet as we progress with the journey we are given some excellent and detailed descriptions of the planets.

This is for me is what short stories and flash fiction is all about. Very good stuff and recommended to everyone who likes a little humour mixed in with there sci-fi.

Granting artistic license is a must before reading this short work. If you can live with the title you will likely enjoy the story as much as I did.
