War of Gods, Book I. Revised October 2011. Inspired by Slavic mythology, Damian’s Oracle is the entree into the ongoing battle between good and evil over the fate of humanity. The White God, Damian, and his Guardians protect the world from the Black God and his monsters while rescuing Naturals – humans with extraordinary paranormal gifts – from the Black God, who would kill or convert them.

Caught in the middle is cool-headed Sofia, a Natural whose gift will tip the scales in the war. Sofia begins her transformation from human into oracle, the first in thousands of years. Damian rescues her from the Black God in time to complete a ceremony that will bind her to him for eternity. Sofia struggles with her new world and her role as an oracle and Damian’s mate while haunted by a mysterious man from Damian’s past who’s supposed to be dead. Unbeknownst to her, her link to the dead man may be all that saves Damia.. (Read more)

Enjoyable read. The author gives you hints along the way of what is to come. I enjoyed the way major secrets were revealed slowly as the story progressed. Plenty of action to hold interest. Wouldn't hesitate to read another book by this author.

Absolutely loved the characters Damian and Sofia, the usual spunk of a herione and the dark mysterious Damian. The humour and tension between the characters felt very real. Kinda wished Damian and Sofia had more explosive moments together :) Really wanted Sofia to be more hard on her sister... but I guess shes really kind hearted :) Will be buying the next 2.

Slow to start but once it got going it absolutely blew my mind. Great characters, action-packed and the sexual tension was amazing. The only dissapointment was that the tension was never written about, an explosive love scene would have made this perfect. Not hard-core but something other than the curtains drawing closed scenario written. The author talked the talk but definitely came up short with the lack of consumnation between Damian and Sofia on what promised to be an explosive event.

This was a fantastic book, once you get past the begining... I,ll admit I almost stopped reading it thinking it wasn't for me, then the storyline picks up quick and I didn't want to set it down. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

Very enjoyable read. Good storyline pace, strong characters (The heroine isn't weak and whiny! The hero isn't an unlikeable jerk!) and an overall great plot. Sufficient explanation for the mythological elements provided without detracting from the story. Character development was robust; there are some secondary characters who definitely deserve a book of their own. Yes there were typos and a few misplaced names, but if that's the only complaint I have about a book then I'd say that's pretty minor.

The start is a little bumpy but keep reading. The characters develop as they get to know each other. The story pulls you in until you stay up late to finish it. This book makes me with I had a MFA instead of taking all that chemistry and math so I could help with a final edit and polish. I think it could be the next great series.
