About James Bicheno

James Bicheno was born and bred in Portsmouth, UK in the 1980s. He writes historical fiction and poetry. After studying for a history degree at the University of Portsmouth he studied creative writing at the Open University and completed the MA in Creative Writing at Portsmouth.

His first book, 'Space' is a collection of poems of a lifelong interest in space. James is currently trying to get his first novel, set in the Viking Age, published. He is a member of the Historical Novel Society and has had some competition success, having both poetry and microfiction published.

He has never been very good at writing about himself.
