About T. K. Jones

Hi, I'm T. K. Jones (Terri K. Jones). I'm an artist, crafter, and writer.

I’m a Renaissance (wo)man who wants to do it all! I love to learn new crafts and experiment. I enjoy many different mediums including but not limited to: sewing, crochet, knitting, jewelry making, clay, mixed media, illustrating, embroidery, painting, up-cycling & recycling, bath & body items, etc.

I consider myself an autodidact. In terms of autodidacticism and artistic abilities, I really look up to Leonardo da Vinci. He’s really an inspiration to me. I self-learn/self-teach a lot of seemingly random things. I enjoy learning foreign languages and technical skills involving computers and the internet. I want to learn just about everything!

In college I studied Communication (Film & Video Production) and Philosophy. I graduated Magna Cum Laude, but I think everything I learned in college, I could have learned on my own and sometimes wish I did that and started on my small business earlier in life. But you can’t change the past.

I love to learn about different time periods in history and different cultures. I’m fascinated by Renaissance Italy, the time of Marie Antoinette, Native Americans, New England history, turn of the century New York City (the slums, gangs, immigrants, etc.), paganism, Russia (especially the Asian parts like Siberia), Gypsy traveling culture, the 1920s, 30s, 50s and 60s. That is just a small list of cultural and historical interest. I couldn’t possibly list everything.

Some more topics of interest include: classic films, philosophy, literature, culture, world religions, fiber arts, dollmaking, fairies, gnomes, mermaids, legendary and so-called mythical creatures, gardening, homesteading, conspiracy theories, the paranormal, metaphysics and occult, dreams, cats, alternative history, alternative science, pre-Christian civilizations and cultures, lives/biographies of writers and artists, etc.
