Reading "A Beginner's Guide to Christmas" will now be a yearly holiday tradition for me. In fact, it's so great I could easily see it adapted as a television or theatrical movie that would stand up alongside all the other terrific Christmas comedies we indulge in every year. And honestly, you don't even need to enjoy this around the holidays to have a great time. It was the middle of January that I read this, as a matter of fact!

I got so much enjoyment and tons of laughs from this comedy gem from Jennifer Joyce. You'll nod your head and laugh as it might make you recall how one or more things just seem to go wrong during the holidays... and how simple tasks seem to become Herculean feats with all the stress the most wonderful time of the year brings.

You'll love all these characters and be ready to spend more time in their world like I did. The best part of this: Jennifer Joyce has released a sequel to this! It's an utterly amazing novel called "A Beginner's Guide to Salad." Be sure not to miss that one, either.

Kick back during the holidays (or any other time, really) and enjoy this wonderful book! Just remember not to burn the roasted potatoes, though. ;)
