Bohemian Pipe Dreams
A collection of poems influenced by noted Poets such as Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Baudelaire and Dante representing the later period of my early style development. Most of the work focuses on philosophy, the humanity's internal battle of good vs. evil and gothic romance. More
This collection of poems exhibits earlier work as influenced by noted Poets such as Edgar Allen Poe, Charles Baudelaire and Dante as my writing style matured. This occurred in my late teens and into my twenties as I both attended university and held down a full-time job. It was also when one relationship faded as another grew, unfortunately at the same time. The collection is separated in four communities, each representing an individual section of the mind. Some may ramble as other flows more fluidly. Some maintain faint echoes of traditional poetic structure while many reveal the literary qualities present in a simple conversation. Central overall are the areas of philosophy, humanity's spiritual battle of good vs. evil and gothic romance. The goal being to inspire the reader to think beyond the surface whether it is inward, outward or somewhere in-between.
