I'm on the firemen reading spree and this book's my next pit-stop :)
I loved it!
The characters are very sympathetic, strong and likeable and the main obstacle in their relationship fortunately wasn't the banal 'no fraternization' rule aka 'we work together - therefore we can't have a relationship' (I'm so tired of it!). Instead it was neatly tied with the death of Lucas' boyfriend Ryan and his worry about being in a relationship with another fireman/medic, because of their professional risks and the risk of losing another loved one.
The accident in the epilogue was rather unexpected - I was shocked, tbh - but the resolution was very satisfying.
