Recommended to me a few months ago. Great story. Different locations, different things happening but always heading to the final battle. Nice story to read and relax with.
Keeps you interested to the very end.

Took we awhile to read this book as I am a slow reader but I enjoyed every part of it. This young guy Peter is thrown into multiple situations which he has to deal with immediately. He's alone and doesn't get much help from those around him. He's not well educated and makes mistakes but everything turns out well at the end.
This is a wonderful fantasy story that could be enjoyed by anyone from the age of 12 to 90. I'm somewhere in the middle. Have already started recommending it to friends.

Well this was a new experience for me.
A delightful fantasy, once again simply written but an absolute pleasure to read.
The authors young hero is a victim of circumstance which in turn sends him on a dangerous journey. He copes with each situation well as he deals with each problem that arises. I admit enjoying his interaction with his mother and watching him evolve as he gets older. Yes, it has a 'Lord of the Rings' flavour about it and anyone who likes J. R. R. Tolkiens' stories will enjoy this book.
The images included throughout the book are wonderful and add to the experience.
Very good value for money.

Another wonderful story from this author that I found easy to read. I love fantasy stories and this shows me the author is a great storyteller. I've probably read it six times now as I started with the text version.
This I would definitely like to see in print.

Another great story from this author. I started reading it to my nieces and nephews over christmas. (the young teens not the little ones). Now it seems I'll have to buy them a copy each as I couldn't get it finished before I left to come home.
Terrific fantasy story. Very enjoyable.

I bought this for my daughter and she finished it last night. I have been instructed to leave a review. She loved it. At 13 years old I found she had a good understanding of the moral side of things mentioned in the book (I did read it before I gave it to her). She has given me the money to buy 2 copies for her friends.

Great book. Great computer graphics.
Enjoyed the story very much. The lead character reminds me a bit of myself when I was that age. I would have loved this adventure without the down side of course.

Finished it for the second time today.
I really enjoyed this story from start to finish.
Quite an adventure, reminded my just a little of 'Lord of the Rings' but it's nothing really like it. If that makes any sense.
You do discover more within the story the second time it's read.
Terrific graphics. Love 'em!

Finished the book last night. What an adventure!
Young Peter, the hero, is a fine young man even though he had his downfalls.
I love the fantasy world this author has created and the characters in both antipoles.
The pictures through out the book are great. (I think there are 21) . I haven't seen anything done like this before.
I look forward to reading book 2 when it's published.
Recommended for all ages.

Great story. I've never seen a book done like this before and it was a pleasure to read.
Great characters and I really like the 'little guys' in the story.
A nice progression through the story. Not dificult to read.
The pictures of the butterfly were fantastic and I can see how the hero had to stop himself falling in love when he's on his horse with her. Terrific image.
Recommended read.

Had to grab the graphic novel as well as the text only version.
I was a bit off when imagining the characters but I guess that's why we have an imagination. It's wonderful, the pictures are really good and the story takes you places that are facinating. Even when Peter is badly injured he manages to keep going as he blames himself for everything that's happened.
Good easy read. Good strong characters.

Great story and well written. I think the author was using a play on words but I'm not sure if I noticed these correctly as no one else has mentioned it.
Sad about the loss of his arm but he managed quite well under the circumstances.
Love his interaction with his family and the numerable suprises along the way.
Wonderful world of fantasy and good graphics too.

WOW. Loved this story, it's pure fantasy but there are quite a few lessons there. It's about a young man that gets sent somewhere he doesn't want to go. He's not too bright and has a lot of trouble but as you continue to read you find he's good hearted. The pictures are great, they put images in your head as you read on.
It's easy to read and a lot of fun.

Like Tom I'd already read the text version . Great excuse to read this again. One of my favourite fantasy novels and now with pics. This is the third time I've read it and it never fails to facinate me. The pics are great and my imagination wasn't that far off when imagining the characters etc.
I would love to see this as a movie.
I highly recommend this book and believe it could be also read to children.

I already had the 'text' version of this book but decided to grab the Graphic Novel when it turned up. The story is excellent, pure fantasy and delightful. The CG is wonderful.
Definitely 5 stars again.
